why the hell are they selling Murdoch?

hey,
you know, once a week i spend my time reading the Economist to get some information about how americans will be rulling the world's economy in the next weeks. I've read these days about Mr. Rupert Murdoch, multimillionaire-media-conglo merate owner, who's buying right now the "Journal" (what the f*...)
i understand that Englishmen have been raised in this anglican culture for the past centuries (god save the queen..) but i think there is some huge misinterpretations in their judgments. They picture Murdoch as an examplaire of the best breed of men...i understand their side, the guy constructed a media empire (let's not talk about the quality of Fox News information) during his life, a work that shows obviously that the guy worked hard and has a good felling for bussines (let's notice: for bussines, doesn't mean for journalism...)
Well, i'm quite sorry, but i think there are way more people in the world we should give value before Mr. Murdoch. I won't be making lists here, but a first name in the list could well be, for example, Mr. Jose Saramago, whose books have a real value to society, not only to Saramago's pocket..you see, i think the Economist is quite lost in Mme. "Harry Potter" 's books to sell around this "culture"..
Maybe they should move here to Lisbon..it seems to me that the Portuguese have found a good formula, seen the quality of life (and men like Saramago) they have among them...
So please Mr. "The Economist", let's try to elevate our standards instead of buying big cars and dominating the world..
