All the old can tell you stories of guys who got out of the cave. Most of them never came back, but some returned, and obviously came to tell what they've seen outside.

Each one who came back told a bigger story than the previous one. It was like getting deeper inside a puzzle, getting to know what is outside of our world. it was quitte pretty, and gave wings to the imagination of many men, and facts to be studied by our so proud science...

But none of them has ever understood the last guy who came from his walks outside the cave. They say he went mad after seeing so many different and bizarre things outside. As people say, most of us are not ready to get out of the cave, so we keep our imagination on other things, and avoid thinking about this.

This last guy used to say that he saw everything the other ones have seen. But he was not satisfied, he wanted to get deeper and understand the end of things. So he spent years of his life trying to find the end, getting from place to place...so one day he understood it all.

He found something like an exit, a passage to somewhere else he had never seen...and there it stood a man, siting and watching time pass by. He got to the man and asked "do you know where this path leads?"

The man answered: "This path leads to the exit of our cave...i went there, and for years searched for the end of things. One day i found a man sitting on a path, alone, watching time pass by. I asked him the same question you're asking me, and he told me that that path lead to the exit of his cave, and that he got out and for years searched for the end of things. One day he found a man..."

Someone once told us in the cave that some things are born with us. Some things you know even before seing it. For example, no one has to proove you that the smallest distance between 2 points is a straight line.

All these examples helped some men to believe that we have some knowledge in our minds a priori. Some things you know already in the time you are born.

In the same time, other men disagreed heavilly on this. They believed all knowledge comes from experience, and thus everything you know you've learned after being born.

For a long time men discussed this matter, and for a long time they kept trying to proove their sides.

The thing is: even if some things are a priori in our minds, they are not obligatory true. We saw that from plenty of cases, like the one that showed us that space and time are connected. Who would believe that?

So we here in the cave saw that, even if we are born with some knowledge a priori, it's not obligatory true. On the other hand, not all knowledge comes from experience either...but people need to experience their conclusions to make sure they are true.

The worst is that these last days it came a crazy men that showed us that even if we apply our knowledge to suppose things and proove them on experience, it is not obligatory true. Like the guy that defined a hole system thinking that space and time were separate things...

In the end, we'll never get to the truth, we can only get closer....

One old story used to say that one day the big great god came form above and asked for a sacrifice.

The people of the cave discussed who they should sacrifice in the name of god. It took 7 days and 6 nights so that in the 7 night, they made a big fire. Obvioulsly, the biggest of their time, since there was god in the matter

In the begining, the old say that our fathers wanted to define the world. They found fire, wind, earth and water. Then they tried to combine it, and defined rules and causes.

And everytime their models found cracks, and other models came, and they even found out that models follow models following a model

So one man said that all men shall be treated equal. (he acctually said that men are equal, as he could be able to define this being part of the ensemble...) All the others believed, and we do not discuss this matter.

"If we shall be treated as equal, Good is in things you accomplish with our effort, not with things you were born with

The Wolf in sheep's clothing

March 17th 2007 15:57
And so Aesop said:

A Wolf found great difficulty in getting at the sheep owing to the vigilance of the shepherd and his dogs. But one day it found the skin of a sheep that had been flayed and thrown aside, so it put it on over its own pelt and strolled down among the sheep. The Lamb that belonged to the sheep, whose skin the Wolf was wearing, began to follow the Wolf in the Sheep's clothing; so, leading the Lamb a little apart, he soon made a meal off her, and for some time he succeeded in deceiving the sheep, and enjoying hearty meals.
