"I wanna be made!"

March 9th 2007 12:18
hey,

now that most of the important subject is presented and explained, i'll spend some posts commenting about some shity things we see around these days, of course applying some philosophy to understand it better...

Hehe, the other day i saw on MTV a show called "Made", or something like this. The main goal of the thing was to pick up a normal person, see who this poor guy would like to be (no one wants to be Malkovich mate, he's bald...), and then make everything possible for this person to "accomplish his dream"....

The "everything possible" on the last paragraph means anything you can imagine: from haircuts to dance courses, surgery, etc. It is pretty bizarre to see girls breasts been "remade" on TV....

Anyway....american culture has some bizarre stories, but one thing i like in these youngsters being "made" on TV: they are never hypocrite, and that's a thing that simplify your life when analysing someone's behaviour...

So, my way of seeing the thing is: we all want to be powerfull in life; as in the lasts posts, we all want to be God. These people, when they see Britney Spears being treated like a queen (for shaking his pretty ass), want to be her. Quite normal: if you do not succeed the way you want, maybe if you change yourself you have another chance. And if you have to change, why not be someone as powerfull as Britney?

Well, i think you get the point.

The problem is though quite obvious: they're not getting more powerfull over "real" trying to be someone that really is, they're just illuding themselves. If you want to be as powerfull as Britney (even more), you should try to succeed your carreer (this may sound like yo mama speaking, but anyway...), learn how to seduce men (please not in the way Britney tries...) etc. You can even have your hair cut like her, but maybe dress yourself more like Leatitia Casta, have a Bjork way of life, know things like de Beauvoir...

At least these guys on TV are not hypocrite, and that's a good start. It's a pity that they got it all wrong after....hehe

Cheers. Uula
