Sorry, it's not only about this...

A discussion with a friend these last days made me write this post. It's about education, the way i think we should define it.
People tend to think education as being the things "we learn in school". Maybe some people can add family on this group too, and this is it. Education is going to school and listening to your parents.
In the last post on these essays on societies, i placed an argument where i say that the social-political-economical system of a society has less influence on its flurishing than the education of the people. Why do i mean by this? And what do i mean by education?
Well, all the time you're not sleeping you're maybe learning something. Being awake is the only thing you need to learn (maybe even not), and this, in my humble point of view, is education.
When you walk a kid to a park, and in the middle of the way you cross someone dropping his empty pack of cigarettes on the floor; the kid might learn that that's what people do, and so he should do this too. I remember when i was a kid watching tv back home: the cute guy of the soap was cleaning his hands and mouth with the table towel. What have i done the very next dinner? I started doing the same, but not for long, mummy was there to start yelling at me...hehe
I mean, everything around you is being interpreted by your mind all the time, and can is something you learn. Thus, education is not the things taught in school, but everything you see around, in the way to work, watching tv.
And analysing from the small to the bigger picture, that education is what makes people, and nations are nothing but big ensembles of history and people (sometimes with some land associated to it, but this is quite a complicated matter..).
Just to remenber myself: next post i'll talk about the government of free developped countries and influented developping contries...
cheers..Uula
