"Si hay govierno, soy contra"

July 29th 2007 17:20
Hey all,

nice moto for another post on societies. This one is just to criticise some of the ways people think are best for us nowadays.

First on liberalism.

Philosophically speaking, liberalism is supported by the idea that men are born all good and free. For Rousseau (the first who developped this ideas), society is the thing that "cuts" men's freedom, in the name of a "social contract" so that we can live in society. Thus, the less we cut men's freedom, the best for men.

One big thing Rousseau got wrong is forgeting that men are social beings (please, not as bees..). Society is natural for men, or don't you like having friends, relate to others? Individualism is valued in liberalism, but for things to go wright, men should be good at the start. Do you think we are?

Second, on socialism.

As a good sentence of president Kennedy, "in socialism, men are means and society is the end". Nice one mate; the huge problem of these societies is to think men are bees, and thus the important is the society.

It may be hard to understand: "And you? You criticise when we value men, you criticise when we value society, so what the hell do you believe?" The think that blocks these 2 things is to understand the correlation of men and society. Men cannot exist without a society, and you can't even imagine a society with no men...How can you solve the puzzle that society is the infinte collection of all men's needs and aspirations, and in the same time the limit in this process tend to something completely different from the needs of each one...

So, let's start getting the problems in each one of the 2.

- Men are NOT AT ALL born good, nor equal. I think we all know by now how children can be evil...

- Society DOES NOT hold the goals of every man. It can, at best, point to "mean" of the goals of his people.

Solutions? First of all, the moto in the beggining, just for the fun (for evolution). Second is to avoid these 2 misconceptions presented before.

If everyone could see the world from his point of view and form others, all of this would be solven. More "pensée élargié" in the life's of chinese and americans would do some good for the world....

I'll have to talk a bit about power and the guy who developped some nice thoughts about this. why? because power is the think we have to give and get when living in society. Another time, otherwise the post will get too big..

cheers. Uula
