einmal ist keinmal

I'm in a sentimental mood..
Sometimes getting to work in the morning you see all the people around you living their lifes by your side, while you know nothing about what they've done or what they've seen. You can't get into people's heads and live their life's, you have to stick with yours.
And when it comes to take decisions, you're oblied to let go some things and embrace others. How can you tell which decision is the best one? How can you know "what if i've tried something else?"
It reminds me of the "Unberable lightness of being", and the german adagio "einmal ist keinmal", which means "one time doesn't count", or to be more poetic, "once is never".
It's quite a pitty to have to stick to one life and pay for your decisions. Have you ever wanted to be John Malkovich?
Or maybe you just want to meet people, listen to music, watch more films. You see how good it is to get to know people from a deeper point of view, like the girls you dated for long time? Maybe the closest way you have to live more than one life is when you discover the deepness in some people around you. Not everyone, but ones that you choose with no matter which criteria...
In the same way you'll have problems getting to know all the people you want to discover. You'll probably have to leave most of them, probably in not such a good way...price to pay to be able to understand someone deeper than the usual. But still, einmal ist keinmal, and i'll want to live once more the life of someone, trying to forget i'm bound to live with my decisions..
